Update 5.38pm: A grass fire continues to burn in 10 hectares of grass and scrub at Ebden, 15 km’s east of Wodonga.

21 crews from Allans Flat, Baranduda, Barnawartha, Benegilla, Browns Plains, Chiltern, Kergunyah, Kiewa, Leneva, Sandy Creek, Wodonga, Wooragee and Yackandandah were fighting the fire around 5pm (Monday, 3 December) which was burning uphill towards Mahers Hill near the shores of Lake Hume.

The fire was not threatening homes and firefighting aircraft were on route. Army firefighting personnel from nearby Bonegella were also assisting.
